Ready to start the process on one of our beautiful kittens? Or would like to have first chance on our wait list for a specific Maine Coon kitten you are looking for (black smoke, shaded silver, etc)?

Your first step is to fill out an application and send it to us, you can find the link for an application at the bottom of this page. Once the application has been filled out we will contact you within 48hrs.

Applications for available kittens: Once your application has been approve we will contact you, at that time we will send you the Sales Agreement/Contract to review. Once reviewed if you are ready to move forward reserving your kitten, send your $1000 deposit ($500 non-refundable) through our Website, EMT or Cash. Once deposit has been sent, send your signed and initialed sales agreement/contract. We will then sign and send you a copy for your records. All paperwork is done online and you will need to print the sales agreement/contract out, sign and digitally return.

Applications for waitlist kittens: Once your application has been approved we then require a $500 deposit. Once deposit is paid in full we will put you on our wait list. When your desired kitten comes available we will contact you with all the kittens information and pictures. You have 24hrs to decide if you want to proceed reserving the kitten. If you decide to reserve the kitten we will send you the Sales Agreement/Contract to review. Once reviewed send back your signed and initialed sales agreement/contract. We will then sign and send you a copy for your records. All paperwork is done online and you will need to print the sales agreement/contract out, sign and digitally return. If you chose not to except the available kitten you will stay on the wait list for the next available kitten. If no kitten has come available or been chosen from available kittens after 2 years time, a full refund of the deposit will be given.

What happens once you have officially reserved your kitten?

We understand how exciting this time is and how long it can seem waiting for your furry bundle of joy to be ready to join your family. We want to make this process enjoyable for you and also we truly believe it is important for you to get to know your kitten like we do.

1. You will receive weekly updates and pictures of your kitten

2. Kept in the loop of all milestones hit (like weight gain, growth, first bath, grooming, eating, litter training, etc). Pictures or video will be taken when possible.

3. Video chats with your fur baby bi-weekly

4. Notified of vet visits, health testing.

5. If other pets are in your home, you will be mailed a small blanket smelling of your new kitten to put out in your home. This will help other pets in the home to become familiar with the kittens scent before they arrive.

Important facts to be aware of:

• Kittens are unable to be health tested until are done nursing. Once finished nursing testing will be done, it can take 1 week -4 weeks for testing to be completed and results available. If a kittens health testing comes back with any concerning results, you will be notified Immediately. You then have the choice to keep kitten, decline the kitten and choice a new kitten from upcoming litters, or take a full refund of your deposit.

• We will keep any kitten in the cattery past the 16 weeks if any illness or any concerns arise, kittens will stay in the cattery until they are 100% ready to be re-homed. The kittens health and wellbeing will always be a Number 1 priority at Charlie and the Maine Coon Cattery.

• Kittens will be released to their new families once all vaccinations and health testing are completed, usually between 14 - 16 weeks old.

• If for what ever reason you are unable to take your kitten home within a week once when ready to be release, there will be an additional charge of $25/day till kitten is picked up, delivered or shipped.
